Ok Today’s topic of choice; Sports. Well sort of. The actual topic is Why the fuck are these assholes making so much motherfucking money?
If you look at the sports industry there are
only few athletes that are paid these outrageous amounts, and they are usually in very few sports, IE Hockey, Baseball, Basket Ball, Football, and Golf. And Golf is such a stupid fucking game that it should not even be considered a sport. Who the fuck gets paid to smack the shit out of a little white ball? Some of the fuckers make more money in one year then you or I are bound to see in a life time, and they have the unmitigated gall to ask for more, and they get it. And guess who has to pay for it? We do. By paying higher prices for tickets every time we go to a sporting event, we encourage these selfish fucking pricks.
Do you ever wonder what would happen if we as the paying fans were to turn around and say enough is enough !!! We are not going to pay these outrages prices for sports entertainment any more, if you want to pay these so-called athletes exorbitant amounts then take it out of your own pockets. We demand lower prices and more value for our money. I remember watching players like Daryl Sittler, Lanny McDonald, Ken Dryden, and others from this era play harder longer and far better, then these assholes today do, for far less money.
In my most humble opinion I think that amateur athletes put forth far more effort and get far less recognition then pro athletes, and deserve far more. And what about the lesser known sports such as Rugby, Lacrosse, Curling , and even Ballroom Dancing (if you don’t think Ballroom is a sport get out there and try it sometime, you will be surprised to find out just how much work there is to it) why don’t we make a big fuss or pay these athletes millions of dollars?
It is time we started supporting the little guys and the lesser known sports. If you are smart enough to live in Victoria there are lots of free spectator sports around, from Rugby to Cricket. All you have to do is get up off your fat lazy fucking ass and get out there to look for them.
The time is Now to make the pro Athletes start taking notice that without us they are nothing, and they need us far more then we need them. Imagine what would happen if the Canucks, Canadians, Flames, Oilers, Senators, or even the Maple Leafs were to start playing to an empty house and every one just stayed home? We might just make our point and lower the cost of tickets. But I doubt any of you fucking inbreeds out there have the balls to do this. I guess I am the only one out there that realizes that my money speaks.
